Middle East Airlines - MEA response to “Will MEA stop flights over Syria”

“With reference to your email regarding “Overflying Syria”, this is to inform you that the Lebanese Ministry of Transport and Public Works took the decision to continue overflying Syria in accordance with the Lebanese Prime Minister after informing the Lebanese Cabinet about the details involved and the causes behind this decision. MEA has a Risk Assessment Department that continuously monitors the situation, on daily basis, and takes appropriate and timely decisions ensuring Safety as our top priority and our main concern.
