Myanmar: Garment factory Lita allegedly subjecting workers to abuses and coaching them to "lie" for brand inspections; incl. co. non-responses
In August 2024, it was reported that workers at Lita Myanmar are facing a series of violations, including workers denied right to select WCC representatives, workers forced to work full time on Saturdays without overtime pay, supervisors to verbally abuse workers if they fail to meet targets, workers denied leave if they have health issues, and given an absent in social security documents if they take leave they are legally owed, workers hired as day labourers and denied overtime pay, workers on certain production lines paid more than others, and workers taught what to say ahead of brand inspection and forced to lie.
In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Burtle, Karsee, Toyo, and United Arrows to respond. They did not.
