Myanmar: Garment workers protest demanding wage increase; incl. co. non-response

In July 2024, it was reported that workers at JOC Myanmar Knitwear are demanding a wage increase to 7,800 kyats and 40,000 kyats grade bonus, to address the recent rising in prices and living conditions. It was also reported that two workers were both fired unfairly for arguing.

In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Alpen Group (for Tigora), Burtle and Dunlop to respond. They did not.
