...Regarding the agreement you referenced in your email. The agreement between INCRA and Belo Sun was completed after many years of comprehensive discussions and evaluation with INCRA Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma Agrária - National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform.

INCRA and Belo Sun signed an agreement for the use of the land at the Volta Grande Project. The agreement requires Belo Sun to provide many benefits to the local communities and local region.

Belo Sun and INCRA entered into a use of land concession agreement that resolves a land overlap between a small portion of INCRA designated land and an area of land covered by Belo Sun mining concessions. Under the agreement Belo Sun will provide ongoing program support during the operation of the Project including, among other commitments, assistance to small local landholders with the proper registration of their land. Many of the land holdings in the region are not registered properly which makes it difficult for the farmers to legally sell their products. As part of the agreement INCRA specified that Belo Sun will assist with properly registering the land to assist the small local farmers and land holders. It will also assist the municipality with road and bridge maintenance, as well as a transfer of land outside the project area to INCRA and the purchase of certain equipment to assist the local INCRA office in its activities.
