USA: Pro-Palestine protesters block the entrance to Colt gun company for its alleged arming of Israel

"Protesters gather outside Colt gun company in West Hartford over weapons sold to Israel"

WEST HARTFORD — A group of protestors blocked entrances at Colt's Manufacturing Co. Thursday morning to protest what they said is the gun manufacturer's sale of arms to Israel.

They plan to hold protests until Colt ends what they said is its agreement to provide arms to Israel...

The protest started around dawn at the facility at 545 New Park Ave. As many as 100 protesters wore face coverings and carried signs that read, “Stop Arming Genocide” and “Shut it Down for Palestine.” They said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that they were trying to block the gun manufacturer's entrances.

Protester [...], of New Haven, said Israel is requesting about 24,000 guns from the United States, and “we know that two-thirds of them are going to come from Colt.”

Amid chants, protesters shut down four gates around 6:30 a.m., Zarazvand said. “And we are calling out the politicians in Connecticut that would rather stand with foreign militaries than with the people of Connecticut that are demanding a cease fire.”...

Colt declined to comment on the protest or the allegation that the company sells guns to Israel...
