A statement from a Company Spokesperson for The Cheesecake Shop

A statement from a Company Spokesperson for The Cheesecake Shop:

“The Cheesecake Shop (TCS) takes all matters regarding underpayment of wages seriously.

The matter between Fahad Ameer, Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Touseef and Muhammad Khan and former Salisbury Franchisee is currently before the Courts and, therefore, inappropriate for us to comment on specific details.

In relation to our processes, TCS has always required strict compliance with the Fair Work Act by its Franchisees and any complaints or issues raised with us by the employees of our franchisees, are investigated and in most cases quickly resolved.

Over the past few years, TCS has invested significantly in a new payroll system, including a state-of- the-art, time and attendance system (TANDA) which acts as a centralised bookkeeping and payroll service, managed by TCS. These systems are designed and implemented to protect team members and ensure compliance. Investment and advancement in this space will continue.

We remain committed to providing a safe, fair, and fun working environment for all team members.”
