Burger King & concerns regarding working conditions of tomato workers in Florida, USA
In 2008, the Florida-based Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) launched a petition campaign calling on Burger King to "Work with the CIW to establish and enforce a human rights-based code of conduct, including zero tolerance for forced labor, to ensure fair and safe working conditions" on the farms that supply Burger King with tomatoes, and to help secure a living wage for the workers.
