The latest report by the London School of Economics Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, "Global trends in climate change litigation: 2024 snapshot" highlights a significant rise in climate-related lawsuits against corporations and trade associations worldwide since 2015. Climate-washing litigation, in which companies are accused of misrepresenting their environmental progress, is rapidly growing, with the majority of concluded cases ruling in favour of the claimants.
