Myanmar: After media reports on labour rights abuses, factory dismisses 40 day labourers after brand inspection announced; incl. co. responses

In February 2024, it was reported that 40 day labourers at Bofei Garment were dismissed after it was announced a brand inspection would take place. It was also reported that workers at Bofei Garment are facing a series of violations, including unclean water provisions, workers taught what to say during inspections, and mandatory overtime or workers are fired.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited LPP (for its Sinsay brand) and Takko to respond. The responses can be found below.
