Since the revision of its certification system in 2020, 4C has maintained strict sustainability requirements, including a firm commitment to preventing the conversion of protected forests and high conservation value areas. These requirements were not only aligned with existing sustainability frameworks but also anticipated key elements of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
