Kuwait: 105 Indian port workers allege unpaid wages, withheld wages as govt. seeks co. resolution

In October 2020, the case of 105 Indian workers at the Al Shuaiba port was taken up by the Kuwait labour authorities. The workers had alleged unpaid wages since June 2020, withheld passports, expired and expiring visas, and were in precarious housing without electricity and dependent on food aid.

Gulf News reported that the Kuwait authorities had "called in" company respresentatives to resolve the issue.
