Myanmar: Garment workers at Suzhou Silk Fashion factory allegedly denied wages after announcement of temporary factory closure; Incl. co. response

In March 2023 it was reported that workers at the Suzhou Silk Fashion Factory faced wage theft after the factory management announced the factory would close temporarily, and workers would be denied pay. Workers also reported that they had been facing denial of benefits legally owed to them, verbal abuse from supervisors and day labourers receiving low pay and being dismissed after three months.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited H&M to respond. The response can be found below.
