Myanmar: Garment workers denied wage increase; incl. co. non-responses
In October 2024, it was reported that workers at Golden Colour Fashion are facing a series of violations, including the factory failing to increase wages despite stating this would happen from September 2024, workers facing wage reductions if they miss a day of work, strict measures imposed on workers incl. strict security and physical checks, toilet restrictions and workers forced to complete an 8-hour workday in 6 hours, the Workplace Coordination Committee not being given the right to negotiate re. wages, union-busting and illegal overtime work.
In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Kappa, Koton and DeFacto to respond. They did not.
