後續行動: Guotai Huasheng Glory Fashion allegedly supplies or has supplied to Primark, Auchan, Carrefour, Lidl and Pimkie; Primark, Lidl and Auchan provided a response to an invite to comment from the Resource Centre. Pimkie did not respond. Carrefour and Lidl previously informed the Resource Centre that they no longer source from the factory. In January 2024, Primark informed us it had completed its responsible exit in October 2023 and no longer sources from the factory. In September 2024, Tendam did not provide a response to an invite to comment from the Resource Centre.

The Myanmar Guotai Huasheng Glory Fashion Garment factory, which is owned by Chinese nationals and opened in Industrial Zone 2, Hlaing Tharyar Township, employs more than 700 workers and does not have a labor union.
After the factory manager told the workers that those holding fake registrations must quit of their own free will, a worker with 1 year of service was fired illegally on the grounds that the information in the registration was incorrect, and a worker with 2 months of service was fired for allegedly holding a fake registration.
The workers said that since the workers started applying for work, the information was filtered and received by the factory, and some workers were being fired on the grounds of citizenship registration, but underage workers were employed...
"They discriminate against people who ask for higher wages... When we eat, we have to stick together because we don't have enough space to eat. The employer blames the workers for this because they stick together," said the worker, who did not want to be named...
