Puratos is a family business and (our) people have always been at the heart of our mission. We focus on supporting colleagues, wherever they are in the world. Our main priority since day one of the conflict, has been to keep our Ukrainian colleagues and their families safe by helping with evacuation where needed, providing baked goods to Ukrainian refugees, and donating through various organizations. With the support of the Puratos Group, the Puratos Ukraine team recently launched the Puratos Ukraine Bakery Industry Renovation Fund to support the Ukrainian bakery and patisserie businesses impacted by the war.

Since the beginning of the conflict, our activities are limited to production. No new projects are being initiated. We have in parallel decided not to source raw materials directly from Russia. However, the food industry (and bread in particular) are being considered essential, that is why we are ensuring the continuity of production operations in Russia.

Staying active in Russia is also a decision guided by the necessity to keep on supplying critical food ingredients and cannot be seen, in any way, as an engagement in the current conflict. We want to stress the fact that we are complying with all international regulations while also continuing to monitor the local developments
