Topvalu's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories

[ Japanese-to-English translation: Business & Human Rights Resource Centre ]

We apologise for the considerable time that has passed since we received your enquiry.

We have confirmed that some overtime has occurred at one of our contract manufacturing sites in Myanmar.

The factory in question was not one of our contracted factories.

However, as we have confirmed the overtime work, we have immediately given strong instructions to the contract manufacturer regarding this matter.

We apologise again for the time taken because the factory was not one of our contract manufacturers.
