US judge orders labour contractor Global Horizons to pay $7.7 mill for poor treatment of Thai migrant farm workers

In April, a United States judge ordered labour contract Global Horizons Inc. to pay $7.7 million in a lawsuit the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed due to the company's systematic mistreatment of employees. The company routinely recruited workers from Thailand and forced them to work in horrible conditions under the constant threat of deportation and financial ruin.
