"Under the contract of work between the Indonesian government and the company it is cited that NMR [Newmont Minahasa Raya] shall comply with the prevailing laws and regulations of the country. But NMR had violated Indonesian regulations, and there would be no chance for the company to win the case," said the [Indonesian environment] minister.
