Title translation, and following summary of the article's key points, provided by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre.] 66 members of the Executive Committee of Foreign Investment Companies (ECFIC), part of the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI), signed the Beijing Declaration on Corporate Social Responsibility. They include Siemens, Motorola, Microsoft, IBM, Volkswagen and General Electric. Signatory companies pledged to fulfill social responsibility in 12 areas including: compliance with the law, taxation, intellectual property, employment, labour rights, environmental protection, social initiatives, transparency and corporate citizenship.
