"Call for comments on IOE position paper on making access to remedy a reality for all", 11 Aug 2014

The resolution foresees that the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) continues its work on access to remedy in cases of human rights violations. The aim is to present a set of recommendations on strengthening access to remedy to the Human Rights Council in June 2016. IOE has been invited to participate at an OHCHR expert workshop from 23-24 September 2014 in Geneva. This workshop will discuss the OHCHR’s work priorities on this issue. A panel will also take place during the regional forum on business and human rights in Addis Ababa from16-18 September 2014. After these meetings, the OHCHR will present a 20-page progress report which will outline the future steps and approaches it intends to take on the issue of access to remedy. To influence the OHCHR discussion in September, the IOE has drafted a position paper on making access to remedy a reality for all. We kindly ask you to send any comments on the paper to [email protected] by 31 August 2014.
