Former Bloomberg TV correspondent Megan Hughes Hemmerlein has filed a suit against Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Media C.E.O…alleging that the company discriminated against her after she became pregnant…Hemmerlein worked...from 2012 until being laid off in August 2014…On Aug. 7, 2014—the day her maternity leave was scheduled to start—Hemmerlein was told that she would be laid off...Seven of the eight Bloomberg TV employees affected by that August 2014 round of layoffs in Bloomberg's D.C. bureau were women, the complaint states. Both of the male on-air correspondents kept their jobs...A Bloomberg spokeswoman declined to comment on the complaint.
