On 3 September, as part of World Water Week, ICMM brought together industry, government and NGO representatives to discuss the challenges and opportunities of a collaborative approach to water stewardship which considers all water users and addresses water issues at a broader catchment level. The panel included:

• Andrew Parsons, Vice President: Sustainability and Environment at AngloGold Ashanti
• Trevor Balzer, Acting Director-General of the Department of Water Affairs of South Africa.
