... With a view to developing the content of the High-level Sustainability Plan, the Organising Committee established the Urban Planning and Sustainability Commission in June 2015. This commission is made up of academics and experts from NGOs and other organisations, and is tasked with discussing matters related to the area of Urban Planning and Sustainability. In July 2015, the Organising Committee also set up a Sustainability Discussion Group as an affiliated organisation to consider specific sustainability-related issues. Separate discussions on specific topics with other specialists have also taken place as required. In order to further develop the Tokyo 2020 Sustainability Plan and the Tokyo 2020 Sustainability Sourcing Code to be finalised by the end of 2016, we will obtain ideas, feedback and useful information from delivery partners*.
