Myanmar: Eight hundred workers at garment factory protest for wage increase; incl. co. responses

In June 2023, it was reported that 800 out of 900 workers, including supervisors, at Gainway International (Myanmar) protested for a wage increase to 5,600 kyat. Following the protests, the factory agreed to meet workers' demands and a settlement was reached.

In October 2023, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Carrefour, Etam, H&M, KIABI, Primark and Tesco to respond. The responses can be found below.
