Overcoming Challenges of Company-Community Relations in Complex Environments

The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), with the support of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs,are working on a project to support companies operating in complex environments to manage
the security of their operations in a way that respects human rights and international humanitarian law. The project is currently developing guidance that addresses security challenges related to corporate-community relations.

The session will bring together different stakeholders to discuss these challenges, as well as related good practices and lessons learned, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, and find joint solutions to complex issues.
