"South Sudan dismisses global witness report on corrupt oil deal"

South Sudan government has dismissed the allegations by international organization accusing the government of having ‘secret dealings’ with some international firms. Global Witness in its report last month accused the government of having 'secret dealings’ with Star Petroleum Company for the Block E concession in Greater Bahr el Ghazal. South Sudan Minister of Petroleum and Mining Steven Dhieu Dau said to the press in Juba that its dealings with oil companies are transparent and to the benefit of the people of South Sudan.
