Air pollution in Kryvyi Rih remained at "very high" level in July due to low precipitation and heat, 05 August 2021
In the first quarter of 2021, emissions of pollutants into the city's air remained at the level of the same period last year and totalled 56.26 thousand tonnes. At the same time, in the first quarter of 2021, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Rudomine LLC, Pivdenny GOK, Tsentralny GOK, Inhulets GOK and Pivnichny GOK carried out 46 massive explosions in open pits. Air pollutant emissions from massive quarry explosions in the first quarter of 2021 reached 663 tonnes, including 575 tonnes of dust, 49 tonnes of carbon monoxide and 39 tonnes of nitrogen dioxide.
