Tunisian female workers run textile factory after it was declared bankrupt

[English summary of key points from the original Arabic-language article, provided by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre]

Female textile workers in the city of Chebba in Tunisia have started self-managing the textile factory in which they were employed. The owner of the “Mamotex” factory in South-East Tunisia had declared it bankrupt. An agreement was reached between the factory owner, the female workers and the local labour union, by which the union would participate with the 70 female workers in managing the factory.
