BP Runs Human Rights Seminar [Angola]

A seminar on voluntary security and human rights principles is taking place in Luanda, directed to Angola`s National Police officers. Sponsored by Angola-based oil firms Chevron and Esso [part of ExxonMobil], the event is analysing human rights promotion and protection principles and the constructive role the companies and the civil society can play in the progress of these goals. Opening the seminar, BP-Angola chairman, José Patrício, said the adoption of security and human rights volunteer principles is a topic of general interest, involving the State, the private sector and the civil society.
