Japan: Stewardess sues JAL for cutting pay during pregnancy

 

A JAL stewardess has sued the airline for allegedly forcing her to go on leave without pay during her pregnancy. Pregnant JAL stewardesses are entitled to either go on leave or to be switched to ground duty during their pregnancy. In her case, JAL allegedly refused to switch her to ground duty, and instructed her to take unpaid leave.
