Global miner Anglo American Plc said on Thursday it had formed an alliance with Shell Gas & Power International in converting coal to clean energy... The projects would make use of Anglo's coal reserves and combine its mining capabilities with Royal Dutch Shell's technologies, with the object to extract, gasify and convert coal into chemicals, hydrogen, power, liquid hydrocarbons and other uses.
