And then a publicity photo for supermarket giant Carrefour on its Facebook page [showing] Tunisian footballers giving bananas to black children...outraged rights organisations for its alleged "racist" intimations. Despite the withdrawal of the ad, activists Blamassi Touré and Yamina Thabet insisted on pursuing the agency to demand it finance a project that combats racism...Still, equality is an uphill battle for black Tunisians. Black-skinned people in Tunisia complain about being excluded from top positions in the country.
