Repsol Accused of Human Rights Violations

International aid agency Oxfam has accused Repsol YPF of violating the human rights of South American indigenous tribes. The company said in a statement it rejected the accusations, outlining compliance with international best practice. In a report Oxfam said Repsol...was failing to consult indigenous people or gain consent before starting projects, abused workers’ rights and failed to compensate local people for damage to communities and the local environment.
