Talisman shares jump on talk of Sudan deal

The project, while highly profitable, has been a public relations nightmare for the Calgary-based international oil company. Human rights and church organizations have criticized Talisman for aiding the Islamist Sudanese government collect revenues from oil development it then uses to fund a civil war against rebels in Christian and animist south.
