Australia: Coles faces legal action for allegedly underpaying employees $115.2 million
Coles faces a class action for allegedly underpaying staff. The Fair Work Ombudsman alleges Coles underpaid 7812 employees $115.2 million between January 2017 and March 2020. In a media report, the company committed to undertake a review and remediation with affected staff. In a statement to the ASX, Coles said it had incurred $13 million in remediation costs and provisioned another $12 million.
