[Unofficial translation from the Spanish original by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre] The…report…addresses the outcomes of an independent assessment undertaken in support of the indigenous communities affected by [Total’s] Seismic Prospecting Project…of Bloc Ipati-Aquio…This publication has two purposes…to endorse the demands by the Guarani people for the Bolivian Government to respect their rights with regard to…the expansion of the oil industry in their ancestral territories and for those rights to be re-established…[and] for [the findings of] a Human Rights Impact Study [EIDH] [conducted by Ceadesc, the report’s authors] to be integrated into the management and development of investment projects and that the project sponsors can better orient their policies and practices to meet their obligations to respect the rights of the affected communities.
