Allianz statement

...Thank you for the invitation. For the time being, Allianz is unable to respond to the survey, but we would like to provide you with a statement:

Respect for human rights is a minimum requirement for responsible business within and beyond our direct operations. For Allianz, Human Rights are relevant in our different roles - as an insurer, investor, asset manager, employer and in the supply chain. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), Allianz has committed itself to upholding Human Rights.

Allianz stands with the free world, with all people who believe in open and free societies, with all of our employees, and with all people affected by these events. Allianz is serving as a force of competence and calm in the markets and in the world. We are prepared for, and are actively responding to, all operational and financial outcomes, including market reactions, business continuity and adaptability, and compliance with all sanctions and regulations.

Allianz confirms that it is neither insuring new business nor making new investments on behalf of its own investment portfolio in Russia.

  • Insurance: none of our operating entities are underwriting new insurance business in Russia. We are decisively reducing exposure in an orderly manner.
  • Investments: Allianz is making no new investment in Russia or Belarus on behalf of its policyholders.
