Incite pivot responds to BHRC

March 10, 2020

Response from Incitec Pivot Limited

Incitec Pivot Limited (IPL) has not sourced phosphate rock from Western Sahara since December 2016. We take very seriously, and are well aware of, our legal and ethical obligations when it comes to sourcing products for all of our manufacturing inputs, including phosphate rock.

We are dependent on a secure supply of phosphate rock to support manufacturing jobs at our Geelong Manufacturing plant, located in Victoria, Australia. We source rock from multiple sources to ensure we have available a rock blend that meets stringent composition requirements. During the last financial year, we secured phosphate rock from Togo, Vietnam and China and we will continue to prioritise these sources of supply due to location and quality which meets our needs.
