Mexico: Rural workers strike against agribusiness exporting to USA, demand better working conditions

Thousands of agricultural workers went on strike in San Quentin Valley, Baja California, to defend their rights and demand better wages and working conditions. The San Quentin valley is a highly productive agricultural region that focuses on the export market, especially to the United States. The Mexican government responded to the rural workers´ strike with repression and lack of dialogue. However, some improvements have been achieved as awareness has been raised among the main companies involved.
