Myanmar: Over 200 workers at Hunkemoller supplier reportedly dismissed without compensation due to lack of orders; incl. co. response

In September 2022, it was reported that over 200 workers at the Myanmar Efforts Garment factory were illegally dismissed without compensation, reportedly due to a lack of orders. The remaining workers at the factory were allegedly forced to take seniority leave without their consent.

In October 2022, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Hunkemoller to respond. The full response is included below.
