Myanmar: Tai Hong garment workers report labour rights violations incl. pregnant workers denied medical leave; incl. co. responses

In December 2023, it was reported that workers at Tai Hong garment factory were facing a series of violations, including workers such as pregnant workers denied medical treatment, verbal abuse towards elderly women workers, workers forced to quit their jobs if they take leave, pregnant workers forced to carry heavy loads, workers denied medical leave, workers forced to quit or take time off work if they do not work overtime, workers hired as day labourers denied permanent employment, and day labourers being underpaid.

In August 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Fraser Group (for Sports Direct's brands Everlast and Diem) and New Yorker (for its FBSsister brand) to respond. Neither brand responded.
