Myanmar: Two week armed conflict around CNMC invested Tagaung Taung Nickel Mine disrupts operations & results in heavy casualties for military junta

In the past two weeks, starting from October 13, fighting around the China-backed Tagaung Taung nickel mine in Mandalay's Thabeikkyin Township has resulted in the death of sixteen regime soldiers and the wounding of over 30, causing significant disruptions in nickel production and transportation due to ongoing conflicts between junta soldiers and resistance groups.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited CNMC to respond. It did not.
