On 20 November 2013, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre held the 4th event in its Mary Robinson Speaker Series, at Ford Foundation headquarters in New York City. The subject was "The Rana Plaza Disaster in Bangladesh: Taking Stock Half a Year On". Following a moving and inspiring keynote speech by Kalpona Akter of the Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity, there was a lively panel discussion and audience Q&A on progress and challenges in improving the lives of garment workers in Bangladesh.
