Pataxó indigenous from Aldeia Nova, in the Comexatibá Indigenous Land in Prado (BA) were attacked once again by gunmen. The community denounced that the attacks began late in the afternoon and intensified during the night. This is the second attack after the assassination of 14 year old Pataxó indigenous Gustavo Silva da Conceição by gunmen hired by local landowners. The denunciations are that in addition to the gunmen, military police are being hired by landowners to act as militia to attack the Pataxo resettlements.
