Response by Bayer AG

Bayer gladly seizes the opportunity of the Business Human Rights & Resource Center to respond to a petition raising concerns about the ongoing human rights issues in Belarus.

We are strongly committed to Human Rights and Compliance as laid down in our Human Rights and Compliance Policy. We strictly comply with applicable national and international economic sanctions, including current sanction regimes on Belarus. Bayer has in place compliance procedures which include monitoring, training, examinations and enforcing measures (when required) designed to ensure that applicable Law concerning export control and economic sanctions is adhered to and any breach or infringement with respect to such law may be sanctioned. These compliance procedures include, to the extent applicable to Bayer AG and/or its subsidiaries according to the laws of the respective Bayer entity´s place of incorporation and business headquarters, compliance with UN Security Council, U.S. OFAC, European Union, and Her Majesty's Treasury sanction rules notably. We are closely following the development in Belarus.
