ASC Statement on the Outlaw Ocean Project Investigation

ASC is aware of, and has engaged with, the Outlaw Ocean Project investigation published online on October 9, 2023.

The protection and promotion of human rights are a key part of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Programme, mission and vision; and we strongly condemn all abuses of human rights in farmed seafood supply chains.

ASC has a robust and developing approach to human rights driven by transparency, independent verification, accountability and stakeholder engagement.

We are taking the concerns raised very seriously. ASC welcomes scrutiny of the global seafood industry and of its supply chains, as part of our commitment to continuous improvement.
