China: Uniqlo announces steps in wake of report on working conditions in suppliers

In January 2015, Students and Scholars against Corporate Misbehaviour, a Chinese NGO, published a report alleging poor working conditions in two Chinese suppliers of the Japanese apparel company Uniqlo. In response to this report, Fast Retailing, which owns Uniqlo, has announced measures it has instructed the suppliers in question to take to improve conditions, as well as measures to improve its monitoring of conditions in its supply chain as a whole. The announcements by Fast Retailing are available in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
