Response of DSM to concerns regarding pollution of groundwater near one of its facilities in India

DSM took notice of the complaints about the water quality in certain villages in the Toansa area. Until now it is not yet confirmed if at all water is polluted, and if so, to what extent and who/what the possible polluting source is... DSM has taken several measures to reduce the use of solvents and to introduce environmentally-friendly, biotechnology-based production processes and build and operate a waste water treatment plant using the latest technologies. The current measures and regular ground water checks make DSM involvement in a possible pollution case unlikely.
