An effort to provide cheap generic AIDS drugs to people in poor countries will be extended to the whole of the developing world, under a plan outlined yesterday by the Clinton Foundation and agencies which fund treatment for AIDS...The pharmaceutical manufacturers are Aspen Pharmacare Holdings, of SA, and Cipla, Hetero Drugs, Matrix Laborotories and Ranbaxy Laboratories, of India. Bayer Diagnostics, Beckman Coulter, Becton Dickinson, bioMerieux and Roche Diagnostics will provide the diagnostic tests.
