Brazil: Authorities investigate meat companies accused of selling tainted meat, including to schools, within corruption scheme; it includes companies comments

Government authorities are investigating 31 companies, including large meat companies, accused of being involved in corruption schemes and crimes against public health, involving government agricultural inspectors and also PP and PMDB parties – the latest is the party President Michel Temer. The companies are accused of corruption for sanitary certification of salmonella, rotten and expired meat. Companies such as JBS, BRF, Grupo Argus, Frigorífico Rainha da Paz deny the accusations. And Central de Carnes Paranaense, A E. H. Constantino, Breyer, Peccin S/A, frigorífico Larissa, Roney Nogueira, Diniz Lourenço comment the case.
